My Students
My students are excited about learning every day, they are full of life, ready to learn, and are excited about what they expect to learn. I intend to provide them with a successful day and a future of success by being prepared for learning. I want them better prepared each day for learning and believe they can do anything with the right tools.
As a teacher in a high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom.
Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.
My Project
I am requesting a set of inexpensive chair pockets. I want students to be prepared for the day. Kindergarteners struggle with the many transitions throughout the day. This will give them the opportunity to keep the needed supplies right at their fingertips or (their bottoms). This will keep their pencils, crayons, notebooks or folders etc. accessible.
The chair pockets will be placed on the back their chairs and will help organize their daily demands right at their desk.
Students will be able to simply focus on the academic day at hand, and not whether they can get up to get materials for the day. Plus it will increase the time spent on task and not be a classroom distraction.
