Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are in kindergarten and first grade. They have disabilities including, but not limited to autism, specific learning disabilities in both auditory and visual processing delays, developmental delays, ADHD, speech and language impairments among other disabilities.

Our school is located in a rough area of South Los Angeles where the majority of students come from very low-income households.

They are a great bunch of inquisitive, fun, and diverse learners who need extra support and resources to aid and enrich their learning.

My Project

My students need bins to use as cubbies. With the new safety measures being implemented at school, my students need cubbies to store materials at a safe distance from their classmates. These bins are detachable and can be placed at a safe distance from other students' bins so that the only person touching and near the bins are the students assigned to each cubby.

Each student needs at least two bins for storage, the bins will be grouped by students and place in strategic places throughout the classroom, were students will be able to access their bins following the safety measures to keep everyone safe.

Thank you for taking the time to read our proposal and your consideration in making a donation.
