Storage Solutions for Vocational and Social Skills
Help me give my students storage drawers to organize items for the PBIS school store. These will help my teen-aged students with special needs run the store more independently and efficiently.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
At our school, we are committed to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment for our students. One of the most impactful initiatives we have implemented is our PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) Store, where students use the points they earn for positive behavior to purchase items. Our middle-school students with special needs also participate in taking online orders and delivering items to each classroom. This provides perfect opportunities for them to develop essential vocational skills such as following directions, giving directions, reading/writing directions or checklists and asking for help.
These storage drawers will be able to keep the inventory of products organized and labeled so that students can easily access them independently when they prepare to "ship" them to the classrooms.
My students gain independence, develop job readiness and social skills when vocational skills training is provided. By running our PBIS store with clear visuals and organization using these storage drawers, we can continue fostering a sense of accomplishment and motivation in our students.
