My Project
Students with special needs and Autism require explicit practice and routines. Building independent work systems in the classroom allow students to practice being independent daily. Our class needs a Lakeshore Flex-Space Storage center and a place to store learning items in the classroom.
With these storage units students can have a place to put their materials in each center and access them as they need them.
Visual clutter causes a lot of distress for my students and makes them overstimulated.
A crucial aspect of the Lakeshore cubby is the storage and accessibility of manipulatives, essential tools that aid in hands-on learning experiences.
By ensuring that learning tools are easily accessible to all students, regardless of their abilities or developmental stage, I aim to promote independence and self-directed learning. Allowing students to select and utilize materials independently fosters confidence and a sense of ownership over their learning experiences.
Thank you for your generous donations, we are so grateful!
