This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our school is not large, but 100% of our students are eligible for free or reduced-rate lunch. All of our students come from various backgrounds and early childhood experiences.
My students are eager to learn and enjoy attending school for the academic and social interactions.
My kindergarten class consists of regular and special education students, and some also have emotional needs that require frequent and varied activities in the classroom. They all love listening to new and exciting stories, hands-on math experiences, science experiments, using technology, and spending their day in our classroom.
My Project
In kindergarten, students are learning how to trust each other, work together and be responsible. Having these seat sack storage pockets will allow my students to become responsible students, as all their things that they will need are within reach. They are learning to work together by making sure tables are clean of their belongings, and they are learning how to trust each other with their seat sack storage pockets.
Students want to be able to know that their things are theirs and that they are safe.
If a student wants to share they can, but I don't make them. Making sure all my students have the supplies and a place to store them is important. These seat sack storage pockets will do just that for my students.
