My Students
Each day is different, but the one thing that each and every day has in common: student learning.
My students come to school excited and ready to learn.
They walk from a nearby neighborhood, mostly coming early to eat their free breakfast. My school is a small, inner city school, and the most of the students receive free and reduced meals. Their parents work hard and do their best to provide for their children.
My Project
Sometimes with a small school that means a small budget. The school provides students with basics, such as paper and pencils. Parents provide students with needed materials, such as backpacks and uniforms. With your donations, I will be able to order seat sacks and pencil pouches for the students to use for the storage of their books and pencils. Often, student desks are too crowded with all of the materials stuffed inside.
The seat sacks will give students a place to keep their independent reading books.
The pencil pouches will allow students to keep pencils, crayons, markers, and other materials all in one place. Donations to this project will allow students to be more organized, which means that they will be learning an important life skill. Also, they will be more prepared for the learning that takes place each and every day.
