Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The majority of my students come from low-income households, single parents, and recently immigrated here to the United States. My school is a Title I school located in Trenton, New Jersey. All students receive free lunch based upon social economic status. As a teacher working in this area, my students are faced with many challenges inside and outside the classroom. For example, the language barrier, low self-esteem, and working below grade level affect their academic learning.
My goal for my students is to provide them with a safe academic environment where students feel comfortable and can achieve their learning goals.
This project will help my class get bins to store our art items and other classroom supplies in a more organized way.
