This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My kindergarteners come to school excited to learn and play. We are in a new building that has no storage room, and the janitor is gratefully sharing half of his closet, but it is not sufficient for 4 teachers.
This storage unit will provide a safe place to storage our science, STEM materials, community materials, and Social Emotional tools that need to be rotated throughout the year.
The storage can help me keep materials easy to access. This will be extremely helpful especially during the school day without having to move several boxes in our janitor closet to access what is needed for the day or unit. Another benefit will be that our community school supplies such as crayons, pencils, and glue sticks that our students bring at the beginning of the year can be safely stored in this metal cabinet until needed.
