This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students spend every day working together to make beautiful music! We are a rural school located in the lower state of South Carolina. While at school, my students participate in many activities. These include rigorous academics, artistic programs, and athletic teams. Over 65% of families who attend our high school come from low-income households.

Our dance team is comprised of 7 enthusiastic, hard-working students!

These students work diligently to get better at their craft and truly enjoy dance. Can you help me provide materials for them to reach their goals?

My Project

My project will provide a storage rack for our dance team members to store their flags and sabers. We currently do not have a storage rack and have to store all of our equipment in a large, metal trash can. This grant will provide for a storage rack that will house 48 pieces of equipment.

As a team member, each student is responsible for the care and maintenance of their equipment to help promote responsibility.

Now we will have a storage rack to help us to take care of our equipment! This allows students to take ownership of their dance program. As our program grows, we will add new equipment as needed. Thank you for considering our project through Donors Choose!
