My students come from all walks of life. They receive their education in an urban environment with a population of 45% African American, Non-Hispanic, 23% Hispanic, 24% White, Non-Hispanic, and 8% Multiracial. My school participates in the free and/or reduced lunch program where 100% of the students receive a nutritional meal daily.
We are also one of the few schools in our district that provides all students with a STEM education giving them the opportunity to display an authentic form of learning.
My Project
I work with some very special students. These students need extra help accomplishing task that may come naturally to others. They can get distracted when things are visible and need engaging activities to master specific curriculum content.
This storage unit and bins will allow me to put away things that are a distraction while the TpT gift card will give them the extra assistance needed to be successful.
My hope is to provide my students with the best possible learning opportunities so that they are able to function in society.
