Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We have had a flourishing garden at our school for about 4 years now. During that time, we have acquired other supplies to build up the space- such as gardening tools, raised beds, and plenty of clean space to plant and grow. However, there's not a spot for students to relax on their own time, since this is located near their recess location.
I believe giving students a location to appreciate their work and observe the garden's growth will positively impact their educational experience.
The idea is this donation will build their independence and appreciation for the work they directly do. This way, they can work separately to maintain the space and relax.
