My students need portable file cabinets, portable storage drawer units, and other tools to make the 3d printer and Cricut area of the library more organized and to preserve materials for longer use.
Can you imagine watching a program about using current technology to improve your life and career, knowing that you might never get to experience using that technology. Our students live in a rural area, and seventy-one percent or more are eligible for free or reduced lunches. I want to give them access to materials and equipment that will help them realize the possibilities out there.
Our school has become a School of Innovation and students can progress at their own pace.
That means they have time once they finish lessons to do some fun activities that are STEAM related. The library has two 3d printers and 2 Cricuts for them to use in their free time. What is really needed now is some storage and organization tools.
The library has limited space and few storage containers so we want to purchase some storage and organization. We need 2 rolling drawer sets to put Cricut materials in; one 6-drawer cabinet to store small objects such as pencils, Cricut tools, and 3d printer tools. We also need some additional materials for the 3d printers--filament, replacement platform stickers, parts, etc.
My Project
I need some storage drawers like 3 drawer portable units to hold Cricut supplies and tools. I also need file cabinets and drawers to hold paper and filament for the 3d printer and the Cricut.
There is no place to store filament, paper, and Cricut supplies and tools in the library, and these supplies will go a long way to organizing and storing our materials so they last longer.
I plan to order two 3-drawer portable units, one 8-drawer portable unit, a rolling file cabinet, and other storage supplies to help reduce clutter and make finding materials easier for students.
