Help me give my students the benefit of decreased visual stimulation to increase engagement in occupational therapy through the utilization of storage bins for all board games, puzzles, playdoh, etc., students utilize throughout their allotted time in therapy.
Please help me supply my students with a more calming atmosphere in the occupational therapy and speech pathology room. These organized non-see-through storage bins will allow for decreased clutter which will aid in increased attention and prolonged activity engagement. The grey organized color of the bins will also calm student nerves. The ability to organize and not have multicolored distracting items within visual range will be beneficial for their overall success academically. As the students present with decreased visual processing and ASD. My student population often presents with decreased attention due to visual and auditory overstimulation.
