Stopping AI Use in the Classroom

Help me give my students skills to write proper essays without using AI. AI has changed the face of education- severely hampering a teachers ability to assign essays and track students’ skills-handwriting is one way to combat it.

My Project

My students are some of the best and brightest in the school. I teach advanced placement and honors, and these students are phenomenal. But AI has changed the game. Students have discovered a way to easily construct essays given a set of parameters for an essay. AI will do everything for them. But when they sit for their exams, they have to write them themselves. And the skills don’t translate into well-crafted essays.

Students must develop writing skills without relying on AI to be successful in their assessment.

In the race for higher and higher GPAs, students must develop true writing skills so they will be successful in high school, college, and beyond.

Using blue books will allow students to learn to construct well-written responses to essay questions. It will also allow them to be able to track their progression in their writing, as each booklet can be used for multiple essay prompts. They will see where they started and where they have progressed. Seeing your previous writing with teacher suggestions is an invaluable tool. Blue books will help make that possible.
