My students need a really great listening center that will allow them to listen to their favorite books in a quiet area and books on CD.

My Students

Do you remember what it was like to be read to when you were young? You could go on big adventures, solve mysteries, and explore faraway lands through the magic of great books.

My students are in third through fifth grade.

They have mild to moderate disabilities. Most of them read at a level lower than their grade level. A listening center will assist students with reading independently, and will also help teach key concepts of fluency and comprehension.

My Project

I am requesting a listening center which four students can enjoy at a time. It includes a media rack to help organize the CDs and books. I am also including several sets of books with CDs. These books are also accelerated reader(AR) books. Students can log on to the AR website and take quizzes to test their comprehension.

The listening center will provide the students with an opportunity to interact with stories at their grade level and build independence through learning key comprehension skills and fluency.
