Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are amazing. They are hardworking children that maintain positive attitudes, even though a large majority of them come from impoverished, single-parent households in the low socioeconomic neighborhoods of South San Francisco.

Most of my students have not had the luxury of living in single-family homes with both parents and only their siblings.

The majority of my students live in small rentals with many other families. Often, families of four or more are forced to share a small bedroom.

My Project

My students need new, dependable chairs to sit in so they can focus on the subject matter I am teaching. My students will also be able to work on assignments without being concerned they will fall out of their chairs.

Their current chairs are missing 'feet' and as a result they wobble, squeak and interfere with their learning.

If they receive new chairs they won't be distracted by the rocking of what are to be stationary chairs. This will allow for them to pay attention and learn more.

My students and I are greatly appreciative of your kindness and support.
