My Project

My first graders have worked so hard this year! I want to ensure that they continue to learn over the summer. For this project, I hope to get sand buckets for my first graders and fill them with tools to keep them learning over their summer break. The books will get the students excited about second grade. The chalk will be used to practice spelling words and sight words on the sidewalk. The jump rope is to help the kids continue to exercise throughout the summer months. The TPT gift card will be used to purchase resources to create activity books, so that the kids can continue to practice reading, writing, spelling, math, etc. at home.

Studies show that students lose some of what they have learned, during the summer months, so it is important to keep practicing all summer long.

This is known as the "summer slide".

I am confident that the students will be thrilled to receive these items and it will keep them motivated to learn all summer long!
