This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students have made immense progress this year, especially in the recent weeks. The materials requested will allow me to create fun and individualized phonics games, writing journals, and math activities to extend learning into summer vacation. The art materials will motivate students to add creative touches to their work, as well as to allow them to express their feelings through art.
Just as classroom routines have finally become well established, summer break is around the corner.
Since students historically lose a significant amount of academic progress over the summer, these materials will allow me to provide them with tools they can use to continue to learn and start strong in September.
