Help me give my students headphones that work. It will allow my students to take their assessments without being distracted from the noise around them.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am teaching a wonderful, diverse, second grade class. It is a CIT class. It consists of 60% general ed students and 40% students with special needs. It is a public school in a high needs community in the Bronx. Most of my students come from low income families and live in shelters.
Some of my students are children who are struggling to read and write.
Some of my students read at Kindergarten level. One thing that my children have in common is that they love to read.
My Project
I am requesting 25 computer headphones for my classroom. Currently, we use headphones that I purchased from the dollar store. However, the qualiity is poor and they break after a couple of weeks. I am requesting headphones to help reduce the background noise that causes distractions while my students are working on the computers. My students use the computers for assessments and if they are not focused they will not be able to reach their full potential.
These headphones will allow my students to stay focused and on task.
Please help us on become the best we can. My students and I appreciate your generosity. Thank you
