In my classroom you will find 18 smiling faces who have a true zeal for learning. As you can imagine, putting that many 5 and 6 year olds in a room together can get quite loud.
If you walked by our door at any given moment of the day you would see children engaged in various activities helping them develop their craft as a student to become life long learners.
Our classroom welcomes parents and fellow teachers in the hope that we help inspire their love of learning also!
My Project
I have always struggled with organization. As a teacher of young children, I need to lead by example and I can’t set a good example for my students if I have stacks all over our classroom. Most of the time I can go straight to what I need but my clutter can cause me stress when I need something fast. I talk to the children about keeping their cubbies clean and being good caretakers of our center supplies but I need to heed my own words.
These two large organizers would help me deal with my piles of papers and supplies.
The 16 drawer system can go behind my teacher table to hold two weeks of daily copies as well as the monthly assessments and various work samples we are required to bring to our professional learning community meetings. The 15 bin organizer can house all of the weekly centers and learning stations that I spend hours printing, laminating, and cutting out each weekend. Many times I prepare materials and then stow them away out of sight out of mind and unused! With these storage units I can become less stressed and better prepared for my students.
