My Students
My students are so excited to return to school and get back to having hands-on STEAM experiences in our Innovation Lab. We will delve into 3D printing, robotics, and programming, as well as many other hands-on projects. It is so fun to watch their faces light up when they see the results of their own creations.
The students are curious and creative, imaginative, and innovative.
I love hearing their new ideas. We are a diverse school with many cultures and languages, and STEAM experiences are great at bringing everyone together for a common goal.
My Project
This year has been an interesting year, to say the least. We have been bouncing between all distance learning, and now have some students in-person daily, while some learn from home. Through all this, it has been my goal to provide an equal opportunity for learning for both of these sets of students. Not only that, the students overall spend so much time on their computers, that having hands-on STEM activities provides them with a much-needed break.
My students will use this Crayola Dough to create their own Stop Motion movies.
By having individual portions for each student, the students can keep their supplies with them, plus the at-home students can participate just as much as the students at school. The Stop Motion projects give them a great chance to combine hands-on design with technology skills.
