Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school is in it's second year of becoming a STEAM Academy. My school is also a Title I school and most of my students qualify for free or reduced lunch. We are striving to help our students become productive members of society and 21st century learners.

My students are active, funny and eager to learn.

They come to school with smiles on their faces everyday. Even though my students sometimes face great hardships, they are always happy to be at school learning. For some of my students, school is the best and safest place for them to be, and I would like to provide the best learning environment possible.

My Project

I started this year with one dry erase table, a kidney table that I painted myself with dry erase paint. Since then, I have received four more dry erase tables from my district that my students collaborate on daily. I wish to upgrade my dry erase kidney table since it's showing a lot of wear and tear after only one year!

My students love collaborating together on the our white board surfaces and the kidney table is the surface we use most often.

Since the round table didn't make it, I feel that the kidney table should be as good as a surface as the rest of the tables.
