My Project
Middle school is a critical time for both brain and physical development. Providing students with options beyond traditional desks—like standing desks—can help improve focus, energy, and posture. Many students benefit from the freedom to stand or shift while working, especially those who struggle with attention or restlessness.
Flexible seating also encourages collaboration, communication, and a sense of autonomy.
When students have a say in how and where they learn best, they become more invested in the learning process. In our ELA class, where deep thinking, discussion, and creativity are key, this kind of environment will support students’ growth as confident readers, writers, and thinkers.
