My Project
I have a class of energetic and enthusiastic students who never fail to amaze me! Our school is a Title I institution, where many of our students come from low-income households or challenging living situations, including motels. Every student receives free lunch. Many students are English Language Learners, with some having special needs. Despite their circumstances, these children arrive each day with big smiles and a genuine eagerness to learn. Their positivity is truly inspiring!
A classroom rug is more than just a decorative piece; it’s a vital teaching tool that enhances our daily activities.
In our classroom, we gather on the rug for morning meetings, storytime, and group lessons. This alphabet rug will provide a vibrant space where my students can easily identify letters and sounds during phonics lessons. It will encourage them to sit together, fostering collaboration and communication skills.
With bright colors and engaging designs, this rug will capture my students’ attention and inspire a love for learning. It will also serve as a comfortable area for hands-on activities, promoting creativity and exploration.
