Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Our class is asking for additional seating options for our classroom.

We need stools, scoop chairs, and fidget bands for our classroom.

We had several stools but they have broken from natural wear and tear. Students often have to pull up a chair from his/her table to work in small group. We are asking for these stools so students can reduce transition time moving to guided reading and guided math time.

We are also asking for scoop chairs. Students enjoy using these during independent time along with a lap desk. This allows students to rock back and forth while working quietly. We currently have scoop chairs but they are breaking from natural wear and tear over the years.

We would like some additional fidget bands to put on the chairs and stools in the classroom. This will allow students to fidget and move as needed while they learn.
