We are a magnet fundamental elementary school and our students come from all over our city, giving us a very diverse population. Nearly 700 students come through our library each week. Kindergarten through sixth grade all have time to hear stories, learn, and check out books.
They have an enormous appetite for books and read almost anything they can get their hands on.
Our students are very eager and have a desire to succeed. They work hard to do their best at school and are learning to be great, caring people.
Books can teach us so much about everything. Many of the stories we read aloud have morals that teach us how to be a better person and provide life lessons.
Some days our library sees up to 200 students from up to 8 different classes. This requires a lot of flexibility to have a fun and engaging library. Last year we ditched traditional chairs in the library and got some stools.
We have been able to do so many more activities now that we are not tripping over large chairs, but we need more.
This flexibility allows us do to story time, coloring activities, origami, even Library Jenga games, even on the same day.
These stools are a great option for our library. They are sturdy, can stack out of the way, or be used at the tables. Currently we have 15 stools and our classes range from 23-33 students. Please help us add some more.
