Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach at a high poverty school where 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch! I have high expectations that they will grow and learn beyond what is expected. We are learning skills such as robotics, coding, and typing along with our curriculum. School is a safe and happy place for my students. Each day, they come into the classroom excited about the day and spending time exploring and learning together. For many of my students, being at school is the best part of their day.

My Project

Students love being able to choose the best learning seat option for themselves. It has allowed them to grow more as independent learners and work on making good choices throughout our day. We currently have three stools and students LOVE them! It is the most popular seating choice, but with only three in the classroom students do not get to use it often.

We would love to add more wobble stools to our classroom so more students can wiggle comfortably and safely while learning!

Wobble stools are compact and easy to move around the room. We can use the stools in different groupings throughout the school day.

Many students do not function as well if they do not have the option to move. I want to give all of my students and optimal seating choice!
