This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Although I teach middle school, my students are with me for 2.5 hours every day. I don't like to have them sitting at their desks that whole time, so we move from our desks to the rug to tables for group work. Currently, I have only enough chairs for each student, so we have to move them to the tables for group work. They have adapted to this, but it is disruptive and time-consuming.

I don't want to get more chairs because they will overcrowd the classroom, but these stools can fit under the tables so that they don't take up more space.

They will enable students to move easily to the group workstations without having to bring chairs.
