My Students

Who are our students? They are a family of socioeconomically impoverished, at-risk, culturally deprived young people who come from rural, sheltered, and neglected single-parent homes, and are often hungry (almost all receive free and reduced lunch). Many of our students do not have a home to call their own.

Our competitive cheer team students need matching cheer shoes this year.

This project will provide matching cheer shoes for each student so they can be uniform on the competition mat.

My Project

With the funding of this project, my students will have actual cheer shoes for the first time! We are a young team that has only existed for a few years. We have had little to no funding for our program and have made due with lower quality shoes. My students deserve high-quality shoes to help them be more successful cheerleaders, giving them the correct support for their tumbling skills and team stunting. These shoes are specially designed for these activities and will give them an advantage over the pervious shoes we have used in the past few years.
