My Project

It's that time of the year again where I am getting ready to welcome new students into my classroom! My 10th grade English students are unique individuals that come from diverse backgrounds. Their bright personalities and unique backgrounds make for a lively classroom and community. Every year we work together towards the group and individual goals to develop ourselves as better readers, writers, students, and humans. On paper, my job as their teacher is to provide them with the literacy skills they need to be successful in our world, but I find that it grows into so much more through our journey together. As we begin preparation, we need to stock up on materials that are key to our everyday routines.

These materials allow us to interact with our reading and make learning more personalized!

Each year my students have binders and annotation kits they use in our class. In their binders, they take notes on our topics and help create anchor charts as a class. This is why we need more paper and chart markers. In their annotation kits, they use various Post-it notes, pencils, highlighters, and erasers to interact with our texts and make learning more interactive. My students love using the post-it notes in their books and we need more in our supply. The clear pouches will also help to keep excess materials and classroom displays organized. Additionally, the power strips will help with students using their 1-1 devices in the classroom. Lastly, the felt circles will be used for our chairs to help keep the space calm.
