My Project

As I head into my eighth year of teaching (my second year at a new school) I’m still in the process of building up the supplies that help students thrive. I work in a low-income community, where many of my students face challenges far beyond the walls of a school. They deserve a learning environment that supports them in every aspect of their lives, and I want to give them that, but I need your help.

Last year, I spent a significant amount of my own money on essential items like food, cups, pens, pencils, notebooks, and more.

I never want a lack of supplies to be a reason a student can’t be successful in my classroom.

As I look toward year two at this placement, I’ve realized I need to find a more sustainable way to support my students. That’s why I’m turning to DonorsChoose and to generous donors like you.
