Stocking Up for Student Success

Help me give my students a fresh start with tools, resources, and inspiration for a new school year.

My Project

Starting a new school year in a high school English classroom means preparing a space that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and confidence.

To ensure my students are met with the best possible environment, I’m requesting a combination of practical essentials and inspiring resources that will benefit them all year long.

A subscription to Choices magazine from Scholastic, which is an engaging, teen-focused publication that tackles real-life topics—like mental health, relationships, identity, and decision-making—that directly connects to the themes we explore in literature and writing, will not only improve reading comprehension and vocabulary, but will also foster meaningful conversations and self-reflection.

To support both my students and my well-being, I’m also requesting a standing desk. As a teacher constantly moving and engaging with students, this will help me stay organized and energized throughout the day while modeling healthy work habits.

A Teachers Pay Teachers gift card will give me access to high-quality, classroom-tested resources that align with curriculum standards and are tailored to meet the diverse needs of my students. This is especially valuable for finding fresh, creative ways to approach challenging content and differentiate instruction.

Finally, we need basic classroom supplies like markers, colored pencils, printer ink, and other daily essentials that help bring lessons to life. These materials support everything from annotating texts to creating visual projects and group work.

Your support will help me create a dynamic, student-centered learning environment where every learner feels equipped, engaged, and empowered. Thank you for helping us start the school year strong!
