This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have the honor of teaching 7th and 8th grade English Language Arts in the heart of the Back of the Yards neighborhood of Chicago. My students are vibrant, helpful, energetic, and inspiring. They are full of character and hope for the future.

My students have faced many obstacles yet are resilient and eager to learn and succeed.

Whether through virtual learning, or in-person instruction, they are engaged and ready to learn. My desire is to create a classroom environment that honors them and celebrates their cultures, their resilience, and their lives.

My Project

I am a first-year teacher and would like to get my classroom essentials. This project will help me get the daily supplies I need for daily instruction. Paper, pens, Expo markers, and organizers are some of the many items that will help me get my classroom going!

The smallest items make a difference in enhancing my students' educational process!

This project will help me begin to stock up on those items that will make our day-to-day classroom routines and structure run smoothly. Thank you for your help!
