Stirring Thoroughly Engaged Minds With STEM

My Students

My students are so incredibly passionate. In my classroom English is a second language for every student. These kids have dived into an SEI classroom with a desire to learn not only the curriculum but English as well. When students go to doctors appointments, instead of going home they insist on coming to school. Students are disappointed when they don't have a worksheet to do at home because "how are we supposed to learn?" Watching these students grow has been an incredible journey for me. I cannot wait to see where their education takes them in the years to come.

My Project

We live in a world where technology plays a key factor in our daily lives. As our need for technology continues to grow, so does our need for Engineers, Scientists, and Mathematicians. My students know the importance of learning, and look forward to every school day, and the adventure they go on while in my classroom.

Using STEM in my kindergarten classroom can ignite interest, curiosity, and passion, all being reinforced by a love for learning.

The materials I am asking for would help create a maker space where children will be able to explore, build, and create independently and with partners.

STEM is such a fantastic way to teach teamwork and perseverance. Using the materials I am asking for will allow my students to learn that failure is OKAY, and that working through your struggles will help create a solution that is more successful that you could have even imagined.
