Stimulating Learning and Teaching Responsibility with a Classroom Pet
Help me give my students the enriching classroom experience of caring for a class pet. Teaching responsibility, stimulating learning and helping the emotional and mental growth of our students is the goal!
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our students are excited about having a class pet! The goal is to provide a calm corner of our classroom, which will be an enriching SEL and Science classroom experience as the students take turns caring for the pet.
In addition to teaching responsibility, we will be helping the emotional and mental growth of our students!
Compassion, empathy, respect and leadership skills all come into play.
The hygenic rug, aquarium starter kit with filter and decorative plants will be a great beginning for our corner that will offer stress relief too.
