This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The STEM items I am requesting will help support some of my more behavioral challenging students with an outlet to use their minds and hands in creating project and solving puzzles as a way to channel their energy into something challenging but rewarding. Items like the STEM circuit boards and the marble mazes will support direct thinking for my students.
STEM education is particularly important for students with behavioral needs as it can provide a structured, engaging learning environment that fosters critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a sense of accomplishment, which can significantly improve their confidence and overall behavior while also preparing them for future career opportunities in a technology-driven world.
