Please help me provide my students with sticky notes to help students track and hold on to their brilliant ideas while reading. I always encourage my students to annotate while reading because annotation is an excellent literacy strategy that allows students to hold on to inferences about characters, text-to-self connections, predictions, and questions. I try to leave baskets of sticky notes around the room so a post-it for annotation is never out of reach. By this point in the year, I start running very low on post-its, which is a testament to how much annotation my students do all year long. I also need chart paper to help display their ideas around the room.
