This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Some of my students have not yet had a chance to play a percussion instrument. I would like to give all students that chance. This could be the year that these students are able to fall in love with the percussion section.

My students are wonderful, kind, and loving students.

Most students do not have much at home so they love being at school. I spend my lunch and prep periods with my students in my classroom because they call the music room their second home. When in my classroom they play every instrument that they can get their hands on.

My Project

I will have multiple lessons using all of the drum sticks. I will have rhythm lessons. I will have percussion ensemble charts. Students with have percussion sectionals. The options are endless for war the students can do with a class set of drum sticks. Students will learn how to properly play the drum and how to play the basic to advanced rudiments.

Donations will help all of my students because this is an opportunity that the students would not normally get.
