Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love to see the growth in my students creativity and their growth mindset! As we continue to explore STEM careers especially engineering, I see my students are not as afraid to take those risks.

The materials in this project are things we use almost daily like masking tape to help our device stick together or batteries to help keep our coding robots moving!

The balloons are something I hope to use for our Thanksgiving parade. Students transform the balloon into some sort of animal. My K-1 students place pictures of things they are grateful for on the balloon. We use our coding robots to get them moving down the road. The black tape will help mark an area for our Edison Robots to stay in as students battle it out with the sumo wrestle code and they watch to see which robot gets knocked out the ring. The treasure chest and plushies are something students can earn when they meet typing goals or for my K-2 students if they are the secret engineer for the day. Lastly, pencils are a must as we plan out all our designs and label our creations. All these supplies would be of great use to my students and I hope you would consider contributing!
