Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are not provided with the support and resources they need and deserve. They are very eager, energetic, fun preschoolers who want nothing more than to succeed in the classroom and build the foundation they need to be successful in the school years to come.
I teach in a very low-income community.
Many of my students are from Spanish-speaking homes with limited English. I want to give my students every opportunity in my classroom, so they can enjoy all preschool has to offer.
My Project
Every day we use stickers in the classroom to reward students with good behavior, a job well done or just because we all had a great day.
To a preschooler stickers are the biggest reward they can receive and will do all they can to earn themselves a sticker to wear with pride and show off to their friends and family.
Having an assortment of stickers will be ideal for any teacher who knows just how important kids work is, and how a sticker can make their students work extra hard just to walk around the school with that sticker on their shirt to show they have done a good job.
