This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our percussion section and drumline are some of the most energetic players in the band. That said, over the years, sticks and mallets have been broken while playing, through normal wear and tear. Soft Bass Drum and Timpani mallets also gradually decay over time and need replacing. Our school supplies everything for our musicians, including sticks and mallets, and our drumline is looking sparse. We also need thicker marching sticks for our outdoor parade performances that carry the sound better, and break less frequently. We also need a variety of timpani mallets that generate different sounds as individual pieces of music require.
This project will fully equip our players for success on snare drum, bass drum, timpani, and all marching percussion.The success of our music program would not be possible without contributions from donors like you!
