Stereoscopes for Scholars

Help me give my students stereoscopes to help analyze circuitry through soldering quality, study crystallography, hair and biological specimens.

My Project

As the coordinator of the STEM club at my school it is my job to represent the students of the club in their scientific endeavors and this year that includes raising funds for equipment to help enhance the science education program at our school. In this particular case stereoscopes will help students (especially those who struggle with vision issues) troubleshoot their soldering, learn about hair analysis in forensics, learn about crystallographic applications in earth and environmental sciences, and study biological specimens. Thus the teachers at the school intend to share them.

Since the school focuses primarily on the arts, the science programs are frequently underfunded and underrepresented.

Through funding and advocacy, the STEM Club aims to encourage students’ scientific curiosity, enhance their education, and provide the hard-working science teachers at Frank Sinatra with the resources they deserve so they can teach exciting and memorable lessons
