This equipment, including Bunsen burners and hot plates, will allow more students access to the more physical aspects of science, in the lab to be specific, and carry out some key labs like the heating curve and flame test labs. Lab hours are required by New York State, but often the proper equipment to carry this out and prepare them for college is not provided by the state or city. Furthermore, the upkeep and maintenance of this equipment is another key facet that is utterly neglected by the NYC Department of Education in most schools. Thus, your donation will ensure that modern/functional equipment will end up in the hands of tomorrow's brightest and potentially the scientists of tomorrow.
