My Students

I have students with so many diverse needs, educational levels, abilities and interests! With 27 students in my classroom, making sure they are able to receive point of need instruction will help them gain the skills and confidence they need to succeed.

These kids are an incredible group who surprise me every day with their amazing knowledge, kindness and intuition.

They have read over 200 books already this year, played more than 20 hours of educational math games, and have built a great community of learning in my classroom. We live in an "almost" rural area - on the edge of the biggest city in Idaho! They love find mathematical connections in the real world and can't wait to tell me about them when they come to school in the morning.

My Project

Because I do have such a large class and so many of my students have such diverse needs, educational levels, and abilities, making sure they are able to receive point of need instruction is vital. Origo Stepping Stones program will provide me access to the resources I need to meet the needs of my students quickly and efficiently. Not only will having the material supplement and support the regular curriculum, but being able to consistently experience success will help my students gain the skills and confidence they need to succeed in years to come.

Not only will this program help my students be more confident, because students who believe they are great at something will be more likely to succeed, but will also help me feel more successful as a teacher.

When we are empowered as teachers to help students achieve the difficult parts of our job seem so much easier. Having the tools we need makes this possible!
