This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are individuals who are always looking for experiences with robots and coding. I have learned that the best way to keep them engaged is by allowing them to find the answers to real-world problems through hands-on projects.

My students should have the opportunity to grow as scientists and engineers by creating their own tools to solve real-world problems.

Giving students the ability to build their critical thinking skills as they learn new concepts will not only teach them 21st century skills, but will also develop a passion for what is to come in their future workforce.

SPIKE Legos does not just focus on the hands-on investigations; it also focuses on our students’ literacy, math, and socio-emotional development. As a teacher of gifted, STEM, and ESOL students, I believe this program will help them truly engage with the content while making real-world connections.
