My Students

Describing my students isn't an easy task. Many would say that they are inspirational, creative and hard-working. They are all unique, unique in their interests, their learning, their abilities and so much more. What they all have in common is their desire to learn each day despite difficulties that they encounter.

Our classroom is amazing because we understand that everyone learns at their own pace.

As the teacher, I pride myself on making sure my students are always engaged, motivated and inspired to create their own learning.

My Project

In today's science and math classrooms students are faced with many new standards - including those that put their creativity, perseverance, and cooperations skills to the test.

My students need materials like straws, tape, string, play-doh, staples, magnets, pipe cleaners, and carts to organize our new "Hack Labs" - where students will practice engineering skills using science, technology, engineering, arts, and math.

Incorporating these skills will make learning more fun and engaging, and will provide students opportunities to use knowledge and skills in ways that are relevant and applicable to the real world, just like they would if they were working on science or engineering projects in a future career.
