This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My wish for my classroom library is to create a place where my students have a wide range of books that will capture their interests and abilities so they can be excited to read. A library that has a wide range of genres and exciting books will help strengthen their literacy and fluency skills, but also give them a long love for reading.

The books I have chosen for this project will help my students become motivated and lead to achievement and academic success.

Reading is a foundational concept in 2nd grade, and creating a diverse and enriching library for them helps to spark curiosity and grow their love for reading. Literature is an incredible way to support student learning, and this diverse selection of books would do just that! Help my students discover the magic of reading.
