Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
According to the CDC, nearly 1 in 5 children in the U.S. is affected by obesity, increasing their risk for heart disease, diabetes, and mental health issues. Walking is one of the most effective ways to combat this—it’s simple, free, and accessible to all students. In my class we dream big, support each other's goals, and emphasize the significant role health plays in the quality of a life. By integrating pedometers into our health and PE curriculum, we can help students understand how movement impacts their well-being while making health a habit in and out of school.
Our project is about more than just counting steps—it’s about changing the trajectory of their lives with the tools and motivation to take control of their health.
With pedometers, they’ll be able to set fitness goals, track progress, and build confidence through daily movement. Your support will help us create a hands-on, engaging way to make wellness a lifelong habit. We also need pocket charts and notebooks.
