Since receiving these new resources, my students have been using the folders to keep their assignments organized by subject, which has already reduced the amount of missing work. We've also used the calculators during small-group math lessons to give students the confidence to attempt multi-step problems. One of my favorite moments was watching a student who normally shuts down during math light up when he realized he could solve the problem with the right tools in hand.\r\n\r\nThe unboxing day was such a joyful moment. My students were surprised and excited when they saw the supplies donated. They loved being able to choose the fidget items and stress balls that worked best for them, and it gave them a sense of ownership over their learning environment. Some of them immediately started organizing their folders and color-coding their work, which made them feel more in control of their school day. Others proudly carried their new supplies into their general education classes, showing them off to their peers.
