My Project

My students are part of a school community that is diverse. Different backgrounds, ethnicities, and cultures converge to create a unique learning environment for students every day. Despite the differences they may experience outside of the classroom, I strive to make music class an opportunity that brings them together.

Using different instruments in class is just one way I like to provide a gateway to learning music for my students, and they are always excited when instruments are part of a lesson.

I plan to use these barred instruments to support lessons I teach about pitch, intervals, scales and chords, as well as supplementing choral performances with them. These instruments can be used to provide fun and memorable musical experiences for my students and the community.
